What a Board Member Can See and Do

A board member signs in like any administrator and lands on the same admin dashboard, scoped to their assigned buildings. What differs is the balance of reading and writing.

You can see the state of the association. Compliance dashboards, unit statuses, inspection history, reports, and the records the platform keeps are visible to you — that visibility is the point of the role.

Day-to-day operations stay with management. Uploading inspections, reviewing repair proofs, managing owners and inspectors, and changing settings are management work. Board members have no user management, and on management-run surfaces the page says read-only rather than hiding itself.

Nobody edits their own permissions. What a board member can do is set by the administrators who invited them — an admin cannot widen their own access, and that includes you.

Board Approvals

Some decisions are reserved to the board rather than to staff. Where the workflow asks for a board sign-off, you record it yourself — and the record keeps who approved and when, so the decision is evidence, not memory.

Deletions take two people. Deleting an inspection or repair record requires a second administrator to confirm — no one, board member or manager, can delete alone, and you cannot approve your own request.

If a decision you expected to make does not appear on your screen, it is routed to management — ask your manager rather than looking for an override; there isn't one.

Reading the Evidence

The platform's promise to a board is that status is computed from records, not asserted by hand. A unit shows Compliant because every repair item was approved against uploaded proof; a compliance meter moves because a document was filed, not because someone edited a number.

The audit log is yours to read. Settings → Audit Log shows document changes — inspection edits, deletions, approval reversals — and cannot be edited or cleared by administrators.

Reports are meeting-ready. The reports suite exports per-building scorecards and CSVs, so what you present to owners is the same data management works from — one source, not a retyped summary.
