Accessibility Statement

Our target

HelmHOA aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, across this website and the HelmHOA application. We treat accessibility as a build requirement, not a retrofit.

What we do

• Semantic page structure: landmarks, one heading hierarchy per page, skip-to-content links.
• Full keyboard operability for navigation, menus, accordions, and forms, with visible focus indicators.
• Color contrast of at least 4.5:1 for text, and status information that never relies on color alone.
• Text alternatives on images, and labels with error association on every form field.
• Reduced-motion preferences respected; touch targets sized for mobile use.
• Automated accessibility scans run in our build pipeline on every website template, alongside manual keyboard testing.

Known limitations

We would rather name the gaps than claim perfection:

• The interactive 3D building viewer is an inherently visual surface. The information it presents — unit status, open repairs, upcoming due dates — is also available in accessible list and report form elsewhere in the app, and we treat those as the equivalent path.
• Generated PDF reports are not yet fully tagged for screen readers. The same data is available in the app's accessible views.
• Some product screenshots on this website carry descriptive but summary-level alternative text rather than a full account of everything visible in the image.

We are actively working through these, and new features are reviewed against the target before they ship.

Report an accessibility issue

If any part of this website or the HelmHOA app is difficult for you to use with assistive technology, we want to know. Email privacy@helmhoa.com and tell us the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you were using. We read every report and prioritize fixes that block someone from completing a task.
