What Building Twin 3D does
Trace it yourself, from a floor plan
Upload a floor-plan PDF, trace the footprint and units with rectangle and polygon tools, calibrate the scale with one line, and duplicate repeating floors. An assist can suggest unit outlines from the plan — a person confirms every trace.
Live status on the massing
Every unit volume is colored by its live compliance status, with pins for open repairs, inspections due, equipment due, reminders and work orders — floor slicing, unit isolation and search included.
Common areas and the campus view
Typed common-area zones — pools, lobbies, mechanical rooms — plus a campus view where multiple buildings arrange on one site.
Click-to-place operations data
Work orders and building equipment carry a 3D location placed by clicking the model — the maintenance pin layer turns “where is that pump” into a picture.
An optional realistic shell
A visual exterior can be layered over the schematic model, and with LeakCheck active the model shows live wet units and leak history.

Good to know
- Schematic visualization — not to survey or engineering accuracy. It is a working model for operations, not a CAD/BIM deliverable, and every surface says so.
